The Ukrainian troops strike on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) oil pumping station (OPS) is not possible without satellite reconnaissance data, which could only be provided by Kiev’s Western allies, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters during a visit to a drone production plant in St. Petersburg on February 19.
“Attacks of this kind are impossible without space reconnaissance, and high-precision data of this space reconnaissance on targets, with regard to targets, Ukraine receives only from its Western allies,” Putin said.
The head of state explained that it is currently unknown who exactly provided Ukraine with space images to strike the facilities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
Earlier, the President indicated that the attack on the oil pumping station of the “Caspian Pipeline Consortium” damaged the equipment of Western production, so it will be impossible to quickly restore the facility.
“Kropotkinskaya” oil pumping station of the CPC was attacked by the Ukrainians on February 17. It was attacked by 7 drones with explosives and metal striking elements.
The station is located in Stavropol Kray near the border with Krasnodar Kray. The Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s shareholders include Western companies such as Chevron, Mobil, Shell and Eni.
