Iranian Supreme Leader responds to Trump’s statement on a non-nuclear deal with Iran

09.02.2025, Tehran.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei commented on the possibility of negotiations with the United States on nuclear issues on February 9, as reported by IRNA.

“Negotiations with the United States are neither reasonable, nor wise, nor dignified,” said Khamenei.

US President Donald Trump previously stated that he wants to reach an agreement with Iran under which Iran would abandon the development of its nuclear program.

“I would like a deal done with Iran on non-nuclear. I would prefer that to bombing the hell out of it. They don’t want to die. Nobody wants to die,” said Trump.
