Russian assault units eliminated a group of Polish mercenaries during the liberation of Dzerzhinsk, TASS wrote on February 9.
Artur Khazaryan, a serviceman of the assault unit of the 132nd Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Army, part of the Group of Forces Tsentr, who participated in the liberation of Dzerzhinsk, recounted the clash with Polish mercenaries.
“When we entered the building, there were Poles inside. It took us about seven hours to clear it. There were more than 10 of them,” said Khazaryan.
He also noted that Ukrainian units mainly consisted of mobilized personnel. According to him, they surrendered after the experienced Ukrainian militants were eliminated.
On February 7, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of Dzerzhinsk.
