The resolution of the Ukrainian conflict is unlikely in the near future, even despite Donald Trump’s promises to end the crisis quickly, French President Emmanuel Macron said while addressing French military personnel. BFMTV wrote on January 20.
The French president emphasized the need for France to continue supporting Ukraine so that it can negotiate from a position of strength. Macron also suggested that Ukraine should be provided with security guarantees after the conflict ends.
Earlier reports indicated that the leaders of France and the United Kingdom are discussing the possibility of deploying peacekeepers to Ukraine. However, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has not yet fully agreed to the proposal, unlike Macron.
