The Houthis launched a hypersonic missile targeting Israel’s Ministry of Defense building, Yahya Sarea, a spokesperson for the movement, stated on January 14 during a broadcast on Al Masirah TV.
“We conducted a military operation against the so-called Ministry of Defense of the Israeli enemy,” Sarea announced. He specified that a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile was used in the attack.
According to the Houthi representative, Israeli air defense systems failed to detect and intercept the missile. “The missile hit its target,” he added.
As of now, there has been no response or confirmation from Israeli authorities.
The Houthis expressed their support for residents of the Gaza Strip in their struggle against Israel, which is currently conducting a military operation in the region. The Houthis have been targeting Israeli ships passing nearby as well as Israeli territory itself.
