Kiev, under pressure from the West, is trying to drag Belarus into a military conflict, said Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA informed on January 7.
“Why is Vladimir Zelensky behaving like this? <…> He is given a command. We should do everything to drag the country into war,” said Lukashenko.
According to him, there is strong tension around Belarus, “farmers are breaking something, they are throwing manure on the government, there are wars, and so on.”
At the same time, the country itself, according to Lukashenko, remains neutral.
Lukashenko added that if Belarus is dragged into the military actions of Ukraine and Russia, it might not survive as a state.
And urged not to pay attention to accusations from outside, “Look, it is better to have a dictatorship like in Belarus than a democracy like in Ukraine.”
