Patriarch Kirill calls the conflict between Russia and the West a worldview conflict

07.01.2024, Moscow.

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia called the conflict between Russia and the collective West a worldview conflict in an interview on Rossiya One TV channel on January 7.

“This is a fight. As the Apostle Paul said, For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places,” Patriarch Kirill said about the conflict between Russia and the West and different attitudes toward traditional values.

In the same interview, the patriarch said that the Western tendency to allow sex change operations “smacks the apocalypse”.

In March 2022, during a sermon, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill called the conflict in Ukraine a metaphysical war. In fact, the Ukrainian conflict is a confrontation between Russia and Western countries led by the United States.
