On January 5, Houthi forces in Yemen announced that they had launched a missile strike on Israel’s largest power plant, Orot Rabin. Yahya Saria, a spokesperson of the Ansarullah movement, made the statement during a broadcast on the Al Masirah TV channel.
Saria explained that the Houthi missile forces carried out a military operation, targeting the “Orot Rabin” power plant, which is located south of Haifa. The attack was reportedly carried out with a hypersonic ballistic missile, “Palestine-2,” and Saria claimed the missile hit its target with precision.
However, Israel countered these claims, stating that its air defense systems successfully intercepted the incoming missile. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the missile was intercepted by their anti-ballistic missile systems.
