Russian Group of Forces Tsentr liberated the village of Novoolyonovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) from Ukrainian militants, the Russian Ministry of Defense said on December 30.
“Eleven counterattacks by Ukrainian armed units were repelled,” the Russian Ministry of Defense added.
Within a day, units of the Group of Forces Tsentr struck the forces of nine Ukrainian brigades. The enemy’s losses amounted to up to 420 soldiers, two tanks, including a Leopard, two infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), an armored personnel carrier (APC), a British Snatch armored vehicle, five pickups, a Bogdana self-propelled artillery system (SPA), two D-20 howitzers, a “Gvozdika” self-propelled gun, three D-30 howitzers, and an electronic warfare (EW) station.
On the previous day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the liberation of Novotroitskoye in the DPR by Russian soldiers.
