The US will buy out Nord Stream and Russia will let its gas flow through it, and this will happen in a year, this is the prediction made by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in an interview with Handelsblatt on December 27.
“I dare to make a prediction: in a year at the latest, Nord Stream will be owned by an American investor, and gas will flow from Russia to Europe through the pipeline… We are one year away from the launch of Nord Stream,” he claims.
Vucic believes that the German economy had a big advantage over other countries because of cheap Russian gas, which is why it was formerly competitive. Today electricity has a high price in Europe, Berlin urgently needs a cheaper alternative, the Serbian leader believes.
