The strengthening of Russia will inevitably lead to the dissolution of Ukraine, the Italian online publication L’AntiDiplomatico wrote on December 22.
It was noted that the war in Ukraine has forced the West to attempt to reverse a crisis trend that seems irreversible. Ukraine received support from NATO in terms of weaponry, technology, and military intelligence but had to contend with Russia, which, contrary to Western forecasts, did not fall into crisis.
“Russia has united and managed to consolidate economically and technologically, which has effectively made the outcome of the conflict irreversible, not yet concluded but doomed to result in the dissolution of Ukraine,” the article reads.
Earlier, the Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin stated that the dissolution of Ukraine did not start now but in 2014, after the coup d’état and the secession of Crimea. The Speaker of the Crimean Parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, made a similar statement. He said that parts of the former Ukraine, which represented three different types of the state in its previous model, are unlikely to continue living together within a single state entity.
