Putin: There is enough money to restore liberated territories

19.12.2024, Moscow.

There are sufficient funds to restore the liberated territories, Russian President Vladimir Putin assured during a live broadcast on December 19.

The president promised that housing, roads, and utilities would all be restored. He mentioned that $1 billion have already been allocated for the restoration of Kursk Region, with the first funds having already been received.

“Everything will be restored. We will rebuild the infrastructure, kindergartens, clubs, and housing. For those who want to relocate to other regions, we will help,” said Putin.

In response to a question from a resident of the Bolshesoldatsky district about when the Ukrainian armed units would be driven out of the Kursk region and whether the residents would receive housing certificates, the president assured that Russia would undoubtedly drive the Ukrainian militants out of Kursk Region soon, though he could not specify an exact date.

“I cannot name an exact date for your return home. The guys are fighting right now. I cannot give a specific number of days because they are listening to me. If I say one or two days, they will push to achieve it regardless of losses, so I can’t provide precise timelines. But they will definitely drive the enemy out, and we will certainly be able to assess the damage,” the head of state assured.
