The Russian army seized the initiative, and Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine reached a turning point, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during an expanded meeting of the Russian Defence Ministry Board on December 16.
“Russian troops maintain a strong strategic initiative along the entire contact line,” he noted.
Putin also emphasized that this is not enough. The Russian Armed Forces must maintain the pace of advancement that has been gained in recent months, he added.
As for the invasion conducted by Ukrainian armed units into the Kursk Region, the President emphasized that Russian and foreign experts call it a reckless adventure. At the same time, it is also a crime, especially against civilians.
