Healthcare and education are not services but investments in Man; however, this formula can only be implemented if the “technocratic” global mega-trend, which leaves no room for the concept of Man, is broken, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on November 21 at the 19th All-Russian Congress “Health as the Basis of Human Potential. Problems and Solutions.”
The question of Man in principle, the political scientist says, is the key issue now, i.e. whether humanity will be or not. This fundamental question is beyond any discussion for the high and the mighty, “it is out of the agenda,” Sergey Kurginyan notes.
“We can see the world. I can see certain polemics… I am against the document on the global future that the UN adopted, and I support what took place in Kazan, i.e. BRICS etc. But I cannot find the borders between the former and the latter [documents]. While it is clear to me what they have in common. The common goal of both documents is to say nothing about Man. Nothing!” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
Previously, he says, there were two ideas about Man: the capitalist one “man is a wolf to man” and the communist one “man is a friend, comrade, and brother to man.” Today, the world is moving towards a new mega-trend: “man is crypto-currency to man.”
“Because all the great humanists are talking about crypto-currencies, transactions, global markets, i.e. about anything but Man. Does anybody here think this is a coincidence?” the political scientist said.
“Now Trump’s team has come. No one understands… It is Vance (vice president elect, republican politician JD Vance – Rossa Primavera News Agency) that has come, not Trump. And he has come together with the entire Silicon Valley, not only this Elon Musk, but with all of them. And they are absolutely certain <…> that evolution must continue without Man. They directly say this, in all their programs,” Sergey Kurginyan stressed.
Thus, before we start talking about human health and whether we really need that health, we must ask whether we need Man at all. Then the situation becomes clear: either Russia tries to compete in this mega-trend or we say that we do not need this mega-trend.
“We are different. We need this Man. We must think in terms of essential development of Man and restoration of his essence,” the political scientist believes.
The Russian messianic tradition, Sergey Kurginyan reminded, has always prioritized the issue of Man, his wholeness, and the potential of his ascension. And if Russia totally turns towards the idea that the entire global mega-trend is deadly and must be changed, then an absolutely different vision of the problem of health, healthcare etc. can come.
“Healthcare and education cannot be services, never! These are investments [in Man] but not services. This must always be said first. Maybe not all of us must have communist standards of living, but doctors and teachers must,” Kurginyan believes.
Russia, Sergey Kurginyan says, as always, has to determine how sharp it has to turn and how radical the problems it has to resolve are.
“If the problems are really major, it will manage to turn something. Ideology is good. But ideology is good for an ascending society in a normal history in a period of Modernity… We will have to talk about a new project stance, about sociocultural design… Russia is a country that will either determine the destinies of humankind or cease to be,” the political scientist believes.
The 19th All-Russian Congress “Health as the Basis of Human Potential. Problems and Solutions” took place in St. Petersburg between November 21-23.
