The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova described the decision by US President Joe Biden to pardon his son Hunter Biden as a “caricature of democracy”. She expressed this opinion on December 2 in a comment for Izvestia.
Zakharova highlighted that the actions of the US president contradict the principles proclaimed by the democratic system.
Previously, Joe Biden signed an executive order pardoning his son, despite his prior assurances of non-involvement in his son’s legal affairs.
Representatives from the White House had also claimed that the president did not intend to use his powers to benefit Hunter Biden.
