MES: Syrian Arab Army liberated the town of Maardes north of Hama

01.12.2024, Hama.

The Syrian Arab Army liberated the city of Maardes, located north of Hama, according to a report by Middle East Spectator on December 1.

The situation on the Hama front has stabilized in favor of the Syrian army. However, the situation in the Aleppo province remains extremely tense.

Approximately 20 towns south of Al-Bab have been captured by the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA), and most other positions held by the Syrian army have been captured by Kurdish forces.

In Aleppo city, which is now divided between Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, organization banned Russia) and Kurdish forces, there is no longer a significant presence of the Syrian army.

The Russian and Syrian air forces continue to target terrorists, destroying entire columns of HTS militants in the rural areas of Hama and Idlib, as well as their positions and gatherings in Aleppo city.

Over the past four days, most areas have been captured without resistance. However, the Syrian army has now gathered its forces and begun to resist in Hama.
