Israeli Air Force (IAF) struck military targets associated with the Lebanese Shiite organization Hezbollah in Syria, reports the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on November 30.
“Earlier today, the IAF conducted an intelligence-based strike on military infrastructure targets located near the border crossings between Syria and Lebanon,” stated the IDF.
Israel asserts that these targets were actively used by Hezbollah for smuggling weapons transported from Syria into Lebanon.
On November 29, Syrian Islamists broke through from Idlib and captured the major city of Aleppo. They are now on Basel Street in the city center, reported the Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak.
The militants moved through the rural areas of Aleppo, capturing around 50 towns and villages. They also took control of a section of the country’s strategic highway, cutting off supply routes from Damascus.
