Russia used 100 missile systems and 466 strike drones to target military facilities in Ukraine over the past two days, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 28 at the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit in Astana.
These strikes were a response to ongoing attacks from Ukraine using Western-made ATACMS missiles.
“Last night, we carried out a comprehensive strike using 90 missiles of similar classes (‘Kalibr,’ ‘Kinzhal,’ ‘Zircon’) and 100 drones. Seventeen targets were hit,” Putin announced.
The targets included military facilities, defense industry objects, and their supporting infrastructure.
The president did not rule out further test launches of the new Oreshnik missile system against Ukrainian targets if ATACMS strikes on Russian territory continue.
The Russian Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces are currently selecting new targets for upcoming strikes.
