Kurginyan explains the danger of global currency

The global currency will result in globalization of everything else, including political power, political scientist, philosopher, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on October 27 on the Right to Know! program on TVC.

According to Kurginyan, the idea of a global currency has existed for a long time: English economist John Keynes discussed it, it was under discussion also before him. However, the idea of a global currency was cast aside, then promoted again, and then cast aside again, the political scientist noted.

“But now the matter is that the global community, which is led by new world leaders, believes that the main thing is to get rid of the dollar. And what will happen next doesn’t matter. So, all the ideas of the Bank for International Settlements, all the ideas expressed at the World Economic Forums in Davos, and so on, roughly speaking, anything goes if you can crush the dollar. If you can destroy the Jamaica Accords [agreements that ratified the end of the Bretton Woods monetary system and allowed the price of gold to float with respect to the US dollar – translator’s note],” Kurginyan said.

According to the political scientist, countries are gradually trying to move to the Bretton Woods 2.0 currency system because it is no longer clear what to do with different currencies of different countries – accordingly, the idea of creating a global currency is back on the agenda.

“It is clear that where there is a global currency, there is a global bank. So far, the World Bank is not a bank in the strict sense of the word. It does not issue money. So, if it starts to issue money and all that, a global currency will emerge. Following the global currency, there will inevitably be globalization of everything else, including political power. And all these ideas of globalism – they may emerge in a new form,” the political scientist said.

Kurginyan noted that Russia should be pragmatical and treat it the way it is treating it now, because there is no other choice, and Russia cannot dig into the details and nuances of policies pursued by other countries’, which it can conditionally call its allies, because, of course, they defend their interests.

“We cannot stand alone. And in this sense, Kazan [the BRICS summit in Kazan – Rossa Primavera News Agency] is a victory, and the oil rate is a victory. And the fact that our economists, with the help of various gray schemes, were able to bring here the parts and items we lacked for the defense industry and somehow compensate for this destructive course that the main thing is gas and oil and that we will buy the rest. These are all victories. These are victories in this reality,” Kurginyan said.

However, the political scientist emphasized that the next big global challenges will follow the victories in this reality.
