Scholz reacts to Russia’s use of ‘Oreshnik’ missile

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called Russia’s test of the Oreshnik ballistic missile a “horrible escalation” during a speech at the German Social Democratic Party (SPD) congress in Berlin, German television channel ntv reported on November 22.

How dangerous this war is, we can all see from the recent escalation,” Scholz said, adding that it is a ”terrible escalation.

On Nov. 19 and 21, the Kiev regime used US ATACMS missiles and British Storm Shadow missiles in attacks on the Kursk and Bryansk regions.

On November 21, in response to Ukraine’s strikes against Russia with long-range Western weapons, the Russian Armed Forces struck Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex with a new weapon, the hypersonic Oreshnik missile.

On November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a video message to the people of Russia regarding the permission of the United States and the United Kingdom to use long-range weapons supplied to Ukraine on Russian territory. The president said that the United States has destroyed the system of international security.
