NATO states are fully involved in the conflict in Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview with the Al Arabiya TV channel on November 22.
A fragment of the interview was published on the politician’s page on the VKontakte social network.
“If the conflict develops according to the escalation scenario, nothing can be excluded. Since the states that are members of NATO, in fact, are fully involved in this conflict,” Medvedev said.
On November 19, US-made ATACMS missiles and on November 21, UK-made Storm Shadow and US-made HIMARS missiles attacked military facilities on Russian territory in the Bryansk and Kursk regions.
In response to these attacks, Russia launched a combined strike on a Ukrainian defense-industrial complex facility in the city of Dnepropetrovsk. The strike was carried out, among other things, by Russia’s newest medium-range, nuclear-free hypersonic missile, the Oreshnik.
