A group of Russian warships will arrive in Havana on June 12, Cuban military officials said, Prensa Latina wrote June 6.
Upon arrival, one of the ships will fire 21 salutes to the Cuban people, which will be answered by the artillery battery of the San Carlos de la Cabaña fortress.
The Russian group includes the frigate Gorshkov, the nuclear submarine Kazan, the oil tanker Pashin and the rescue tug Nikolai Chiker. The Cuban military said the Russian ships will stay in Havana until June 17.
Russian sailors will carry out a program that includes, among other things, meetings with Cuban officials and excursions to places of cultural and historical interest.
