The Russian Armed Forces hit the location of French mercenaries serving in the ranks of the Ukrainian armed units, coordinator of the Nikolayev underground Sergey Lebedev told RIA Novosti on April 15.

French President Emmanuel Macron said on February 26 that Western countries were discussing sending their troops to Ukraine. However, no consensus on this issue has been reached yet.
After this discussion in Paris, many Western countries said that they would not send their soldiers to Ukraine to fight against the Russian army. The next day, French Minister for European and Foreign Affairs Stephane Sejourne said that it was a question of the Western military providing some assistance on the territory of Ukraine, for example, in demining. However, it is not implied that they will take part in combat operations.
On March 10, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that NATO servicemen were already in Ukraine. Sikorski did not say which countries these troops represent.
