Poland suspends all drills after fifth special forces serviceman dies

The Polish Defense Ministry decided to suspend all military exercises after a special forces serviceman died in the Tatra Mountains, the ministry said in a statement on March 27.

The fifth serviceman died during mountain training in Poland. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic, which issued a decree on suspending all military exercises with the use of explosives and military equipment in the country.

Poland’s defense ministry also informs that it has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the death of the serviceman of a special forces unit.

It is specified that the decree on the suspension of exercises does not concern those who are preparing to participate in foreign missions and operations beyond the borders of the state, as well as training Ukrainian soldiers.
