The staff of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was not injured due to shelling by Ukrainian militants, the plant’s director Yuriy Chernichuk said in a video message published on March 14 on the plant’s Telegram channel.

“Fortunately, neither equipment nor employees were affected by this shelling,” he emphasized.

The director noted that IAEA experts had visited the site of the shelling. They were brought there to see the consequences with their own eyes and report about them.

Plant management asked experts to notify their agency of the shelling.

The area near the diesel fuel tanks was shelled.

On 6 March, IAEA director Rafael Grossi said that the attacks on the territory of ZNPP were extremely dangerous.
