The Ukrainian armed units suffered losses during their attempt to penetrate the territory of Belgorod and Kursk regions, the press service of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) informed on March 12.
“Since March 10, the Russian Federal Security Service, together with the units of the Russian Armed Forces, foiled several attempts to violate the state border within the specified subjects of the Russian Federation. More than 100 enemy personnel, six tanks, Caesar self-propelled howitzer, 20 armored combat vehicles, and a fortified position were destroyed,” the agency said in its statement.
The FSB emphasized that the information about the entry of the Ukrainian armed units into the villages located on the border of Belgorod and Kursk regions “does not correspond to reality.”
At the moment, according to the agency, Russian troops continue to strike at the enemy’s sabotage and reconnaissance groups located in the border areas of Ukraine.
