Bastion anti-ship defense missile systems carry out training strikes against the ships of hypothetical enemy

The Baltic Fleet’s Bastion ballistic coastal defense missile systems conducted electronic launches against the ships of a hypothetical enemy, the Russian Defense Ministry informed on March 11.

Up to 10 units of combat equipment were involved in the exercise. Bastion launchers moved from the field camp to prepared positions and carried out electronic launches of Onyx anti-ship missiles against hypothetical targets.

As part of the exercise, actions to camouflage ballistic missile defense positions and counter-sabotage measures were also practiced.

On March 11, helicopter crews of naval aviation also started exercises in the Kaliningrad region.
