Su-34 fighter-bombers attacked a Ukrainian armed units’ fortified area, the Russian Defense Ministry said on March 8.
It is noted that in the Avdeevka direction, Russian Su-34s destroyed a Ukrainian armed units’ stronghold with FAB-500 air-dropped bombs. The FAB-500’s capabilities allowed bombing from a safe distance from the line of contact. Damage was inflicted on the enemy’s manpower. According to reconnaissance data, the targets were hit. The planes returned to their airfields.
The Russian Aerospace Forces use aircraft bombs with universal planning and correction modules (UPCMs) in the the zone of Russia’s special military operation. Attacks with such bombs make it possible to avoid exposing aircraft to fire from surface-to-air missile systems.
