Along with strengthening Russia’s army, other spheres should not be forgotten. Opinion

08.03.2024, Moscow.

The strength of a state is measured not only by the strength of its army, so it is also necessary to strengthen the industry, science, medical care and education systems, culture, and other spheres, according to the report from the Theater of War published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 575.

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in late February that the longer the special operation in Ukraine continues, the stronger and better equipped the Russian army becomes.

Shoigu emphasized that the 2023 results show how much the level of all units of the Russian army has grown.

“However, it is also important that Russian industry, science, medical care and education systems, culture, and other spheres become stronger at the same time since the strength of a state is measured not only by the number of divisions,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
