The German military is pushing everyone toward world war again, Roger Köppel, editor-in-chief of the Swiss weekly Die Weltwoche posed a question on March 2 on weekly’s YouTube channel.
The scandal involving published talks by senior Bundeswehr military officials about possible strikes on the Crimean bridge, he said, demonstrates blatant negligence, incompetence and “frivolous frivolity regarding the prospect of a world war.”
“Are the Germans pushing us to world war again? Such a question … cannot in any way be called absurd,” Köppel
He noted that only the British could laugh at such a “irresponsible attitude” shown by the leadership of the German Air Force. Americans are likely to be outraged, the journalist added. And so will the Germans, whose country is being dragged deeper and deeper into the war by the Bundeswehr generals.
“There seems to be no awareness at all of the enormous danger and threat of the situation we are in,” Koeppel concluded.
