The downing of the Il-76 plane transporting Ukrainian prisoners of war disrupted the media performance planned by the Kiev’s regime leader Vladimir Zelensky, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on January 27 on the Right to Know program on the TVC channel.
“This, pardon me, – clown, this tough guy from Ukrainian – he wanted a performance,” noted the political scientist. “These Ukrainian POW’s had to be flown in; he had to say with tears in his eyes: ’I personally liberated you! I sacrificed a liter of my blood to the cruel Putin regime so that you could return to your families!’ This whole show was planned. And now – this! – and there won’t be any show.”
According to Sergey Kurginyan, the fact that such an incident did take place means that everything inside Ukrainian territory is already on the edge of the “bloody abyss”.
The plane was shot down with the help of the US Patriot air defense system, which cannot be used without the order of the Ukrainian Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR), recalled the political scientist. According to him, the Main Directorate of Intelligence knew very well who was on board.
“Apparently, they also knew that some important Russians would be flying on this plane, who really needed to be destroyed. … That means they don’t care about these guys,” noted Kurginyan.
He also ruled out the possibility that the plane was shot down by accident, for example, by particularly radical Ukrainian neo-Nazis: “It’s not like some Banderite enthusiast got drunk and fired a Stinger – and some Ukrainian ‘good fellow’ got lucky. These are heavy weapons.”
On January 24, 2024, an Il-76 military transport aircraft was shot down over the Belgorod region in Russia by the US Patriot air defense system. On board, there were 6 Russian crew members, 3 accompanying persons, as well as 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war who were being transferred for exchange. They all died.
