Economist: Green agenda has nothing to do with saving nature

12.02.2024, Moscow.

The green agenda is being implemented not to save nature, but to eliminate small agricultural businesses in Europe for the benefit of large corporations of the United States and the EU, Dr. Aleksander Arsky,  Associate Professor of the Logistics Department of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, said on February 11, Izvestia wrote.

According to Arsky, such a policy, which leads to stagnation of the agricultural market in Europe, is the embodiment of the US strategy to weaken the EU.

“The declared green agenda has nothing to do with environmental protection. Agricultural corporations from the US and the EU will sweep small businesses away from the European agricultural market,” the economist said.

He emphasized that even the subsidies that European governments promise to allocate to small agricultural businesses will not help them survive. With their help, it would be easier for farmers to do something else.
