Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky called the situation in Avdeevka especially difficult for the Ukrainian troops after the report of the Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhny on February 2 on his Telegram channel.
“[The] situation on the front was discussed. All the key directions. Avdeevka is especially difficult. Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny and commanders of directions reported,” Zelensky said.
The Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Aleksandr Syrsky and the first deputy commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces’ Operational Command East also made a report on the situation on the battlefield.
Avdeevka is one of the main fortifications of the Ukrainian armed units. According to Zelensky, the General Headquarters also discussed the issue of increasing fortifications.
