A stone with a message from Roman Rudakov, who fell in combat in the zone of Russia’s special military operation, was brought to an army unit in Rostov-on-Don, RT wrote on December 19.

Rudakov died in Mariinka (the Donetsk People’s Republic). He was fighting in an assault group of the 103rd regiment of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division. According to preliminary data, the group was ambushed and surrounded. The soldiers held the defense to the last.

Roman’s last message was found on the wall of one of the houses during the mopping-up of the village from Ukrainian militants.

“Whoever finds me, take care of my mother, sister and brother. Rudakov Roman Aleksandrovich, the city of Bataysk,” Roman wrote.

The brick with the message was delivered to Rostov-on-Don. The unit commander is to meet with Roman’s mother on December 20 and decide the stone’s fate. Perhaps it will be installed in the headquarters with the unit’s banner.

The day before, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu instructed to take care of Roman’s family.
