The West deliberately creates Islamism, which must not be confused with traditional Islam, in order to stop development in other parts of the world, and Israel got in the way of this radicalization, said political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on October 20 in Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio.
“At some point it was decided that modernization is not for everyone in this world. Hear me out. It was Rudyard Kipling who said: ‘Take up the White Man’s burden – in patience to abide’.” The white man’s burden as the task to modernize the peoples of Asia. Later, it was claimed that modernizing Asian nations was a very stupid idea,” he said.
The issue of further development for countries on the periphery had already been raised by the Club of Rome, the philosopher recalled. Currently, China and India are approaching Western consumption standards; if in these countries it becomes the norm for everyone to have two cars, a single family house, which must be provided with fuel and electricity, then a threat to civilization will arise. In addition, developing countries, at a certain level of development, will be able to challenge Western leadership by presenting their colossal population as a bargaining chip.
“If tomorrow these countries achieve the industrial development of the West, then where will the West be next to countries with billions of people? Someone will tell me: ‘You are talking about some kind of utopia!’, ‘Never mind, madam, it is already happening.’ China is already surpassing the US,” the expert noted.
Until recently many were talking about the inevitable cooperation between the US and China, but now it is clear that something else is happening, Kurginyan noted. This is the result of the strategy that the West has adopted for containing development in catching-up countries, seeking to create a new savagery there, and Islamism, as a new religious radicalism, was chosen as an instrument for opposing the modernity.
“Therefore, the West, one way or the other, needs to transform itself from this modernity into postmodernity, while maintaining the modernity in the rest of world. The ‘golden billion’ wants to isolate itself, it wants to create a completely different subculture, and impose this new dark age, new radicalism on the rest of the world,” added Kurginyan.
According to his forecast, radical Islamism, which is very different from and a contradiction to traditional Islam, will prevail in the Arab world. The political scientist pointed to Turkey, which is taking the path of neo-Ottomanism and Turanism, and therefore will never support Israel.
In addition, the Taliban (an organization banned in Russia) will soon have an army of millions, along with ISIS (an organization banned in Russia) and Al-Qaeda (an organization banned in Russia), are also radicalizing Pakistan and Indonesia.
“At its core, this radicalization has the hatred for Israel - ‘the criminal Zionist state that seized the holy places’ - drawing analogies with the Crusaders, who also captured Jerusalem and later were expelled from there by Saladin and others,” the expert said.
