It is not only Ukraine’s problems that concern Slovaks. The leader of the movement Direction – Social Democracy, which won the parliamentary election in Slovakia, Robert Fico stated this, speaking to journalists on 1 October.
“Slovakia has bigger problems than Ukraine. That’s all I can say now,” Fico said.
Robert Fico believes that it is more correct to negotiate peace for ten years than to go to war for ten years. At the same time, he confirmed his position on the inadmissibility of supplying weapons to Kiev.
“We are ready to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine, to help in reconstruction. You know our view on the armament of Ukraine,” Robert Fico said.
Earlier, it was reported that Robert Fico is waiting for an instruction from Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová on the formation of the Cabinet.
