Polish mass media: Investigation finds that a Ukrainian missile fell in Poland a year ago

26.09.2023, Warsaw.

The investigation confirmed that the Ukrainian rocket fell in Poland in November 2022, the Rzeczpospolita newspaper wrote on December 26.

The article noted that Polish investigators managed to establish the reasons for the rocket’s fall despite the fact that the Ukrainian side did not provide any materials.

“The opinion is categorical and excludes that the missile, which fell on a dryer on the evening of November 15 last year and exploded, killing two farmers, could have been fired from Russian territory,” the publication stressed.

According to investigators, the missile was of the S-300 5B55 type. The range of missiles of this type is from 75 to 90 kilometers. At the time, Russian troops were beyond this distance from Przewodów, where it fell.

The distance from the territory of Belarus to this place in a straight line is more than 150 kilometers.

At the same time, the publication quotes Lukasz Lapczynski, the official representative of the Polish Prosecutor General’s Office, who confirmed that the conclusion of the investigation had been received, but refused to voice it.

He noted that Kiev had been sent a request for assistance.
