Kurginyan: In Vietnam, the spirit that infiltrated the body won

07.06.2023, Moscow.

The Vietnamese society could hold out and win against superior enemy forces because it had a spirit, which “infiltrated their bodies,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on May 26 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.

The political scientist referred to an example when in 1979 he visited a military facility, and they were told that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army formed a 600 thousand strong expeditionary force which was carrying out a military operation against Vietnam.

At that moment, the USSR had poor relations with China; however, “our elder comrade suddenly told us that, and if we are still here and alive, then everything is fine.”

Our Vietnamese comrades could then successfully deal with the Chinese army using only their border guard forces. Because, according to Kurginyan, Vietnam “had a certain organization of its society; it was a 40 year-long war, and all of them had certain combat experience.”

Kurginyan stressed that Vietnam had no powerful defense industry, but it had something else.

They had a spirit, which infiltrated their bodies! You know, like coal dust infiltrates it, and then you cannot wash it away. This is how that spirit infiltrated everything, the flesh, and there was such a Victory inside it! Kurginyan explained.

According to the political scientist, there is nothing like that in Russia. A merely consumerist society, which is in the “yum-yum” condition, has been told that “our track has changed.”

On May 20, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the 31st Assembly of the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy that “the Western track” in Russia’s foreign policy had completely exhausted itself and that the country had entered a phase of confrontation with the aggressive NATO bloc.
