The US begins an arms race in the nuclear sphere and prepares public opinion for its use, according to a summary from the war theater in the Essence of Time newspaper No. 535.
A bill on the US withdrawal from the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) and the strengthening of US nuclear forces has been introduced in the US Congress. According to the senators, the US needs a new nuclear arms control treaty that would also extend to China.
The US lawmakers believe the US must be prepared to face two nuclear adversaries, China and Russia.
“And that already means a nuclear arms race. So all the talk that Russia is about to use nuclear weapons prepares Western society for the fact that the US has the moral right to use it first,” says the editorial in the Essence of Time newspaper.
