Kiev mayor blames Zelenskiy’s office for the deaths of Kiev residents

02.06.2023, Kiev.

Inaction by officials backed by the Ukrainian presidential administration is to blame for the deaths of Kiev residents, the mayor of the Ukrainian capital Vitaliy Klitschko said on his Telegram-channel on June 2.

He noted that civilians died because of closed bomb shelters. In Klitschko’s opinion, district heads are responsible for their functioning.

90% of officials represent the ruling party of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy, and the head of the Kiev city military administration was appointed directly by the presidential administration, Klitschko stressed.

On June 1, a scandal broke out in Kiev. According to the media in Desnyanskiy district, local residents could not get into the bomb shelter in the polyclinic because it was closed. Zelensky, commenting on the incident, said that the case could end with a “knockout,” alluding to Klitschko’s boxing career.

The Ukrainian military is placing military equipment in residential neighborhoods. Kyiv always blames the Russian army for all the damage to residential buildings around military facilities, but there are numerous videos of Ukrainian air defense missiles falling on residential buildings.
