Units of the Yug Army Group of the Russian Armed Forces repelled two attacks by the Ukrainian sabotage-recon groups, Vadim Astafyev, head of the army group’s press center, said on May 29, RIA Novosti informed.
“The Yug Army Group repelled two attacks by Ukrainian sabotage and assault groups in the Aleksandrovka-Artemovsk and Avdeevka directions,” Astafyev said.
According to the army group’s press service head, Russian artillery struck a battalion of the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army near the village of Verkhnekamenskoye, as well as ammunition depots that were located near the villages of Belogorovka and Orekhovo-Vasilyevka.
On May 28, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of two sabotage-recon groups in Kharkov region near the villages of Liman Pervy and Berestovoye.
On 25 May, the Russian Defence Ministry reported the elimination of four sabotage-recon groups in the Kupyansk direction.
