German residents begin to sue the manufacturers of COVID-19 vaccines

13.04.2023, Wiesbaden.

German residents filed at least 185 lawsuits against manufacturers of coronavirus vaccines, dpa news agency informed April 11, citing representatives of two law firms in Wiesbaden and Düsseldorf.

The plaintiffs claim that the coronavirus vaccines harmed their health. According to Die Welt, the first hearing in Germany on the vaccine injury claims will begin on July 7. The plaintiff, who requested anonymity, claims he suffered heart problems after the vaccination.

The defendant in the case is the pharmaceutical company BioNTech. The vaccine manufacturer, called to answer, in turn stated that in none of the cases examined by the company did the testing establish a causal relationship between the adverse health effects and the administration of the vaccination.

According to German law, vaccine manufacturers, like drug manufacturers, are fully responsible for the consequences of errors in the manufacture of medical drugs.
