An alternative path of historical development can only appear in Russia, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview to the ONT Russian channel.
“The Soviet Union gave a global ideological historical alternative,” the political scientist reminded. In his opinion, the global models in the two largest countries, China and India, are organized absolutely differently. China is based on the concept of cyclicity and India on religion.
“India is a very vital country, it is so turbulent, it is developing, and already quite supercilious. <…> It is very good, so vital, impetuous, but it is a religious country,” the analyst stressed.
China’s global mode is based on the cyclical kind of development and an axis that becomes distracted when moral deteriorates. “The rest of the world that is unaware of this axis must bring gifts, and that’s it. There [in China] is no history in certain sense. There is no history as a mole that digs,” Kurginyan added.
The West is not a historical world any longer since it openly declared post-modernity and the end of history, the philosopher noted. In his opinion, historical groups in Europe are very weak, “I saw them. They are like a rat in a hole waiting for unwelcome visitors.”
In the United States, very complex processes are ongoing. “These ‘black lives’ are still to demonstrate to whom they are bringing death, this is only the start of the game,” the analyst told. According to Kurginyan, there is not even a trace of a historical development process in Africa or Latin America either, because these regions have a burden of their colonial past.
“Thus, if there is a place where history can start boiling it is Russia,” Kurginyan concluded.
