A group of protesters demands to close the US military base in the German city of Ramstein, the newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung (Germany) reports.
About 2,500 people took part in the protest demonstration against the US military presence in Germany. The protesters displayed placards reading “Airbase Ramstein schließen – Ami go home” (Close Ramstein Airbase – Americans go home).
The event was peaceful and was over by 4 p.m. local time.
