Modern Russia should not cling to its former life, it must change in order to survive in a situation of “perpetual war“, said philosopher, analyst, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on the air of the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda, broadcasted on the YouTube channel on February 10.
Kurginyan noted that today the US is aimed at warming up conflicts all around the world. Their strategic program is “perpetual war“.
“You see, I did not invent the term ‘perpetual war’. That term was invented by the Pentagon. ‘Perpetual war’ is the next era in which there should be no peace at all. This is the strategy not of a new world order, but of a new world disorder,” the political scientist explained.
According to Kurginyan, we need to prepare for this very situation today. He pointed to the dangers of distorting the new situation and any neurotic attempts to cling to a familiar life. At the same time, he emphasized the need to communicate to the population the real picture of what is happening.
“The most important thing that I think our population lacks in today’s world is complex pictures of the world. Our population is smart. It is ready for complexity. We need complex and not optimistic, but realistic pictures of everything,” stressed Kurginyan.
Along with that he warned against panic moods. He stressed that one should be proud of the successes of Russian troops in Ukraine, but at the same time think about tomorrow and strengthen one’s position. As an example, Kurginyan cited the situation with the Russian navy, which must achieve dominance in the Black Sea in a historically short time.
“It is necessary to move further towards strengthening our positions and understand that if we truly strengthen them, if we change the way of life that still strongly attracts us, then very soon this way of life will be no more gloomy, and maybe even more optimistic. But at least we‘ll survive!” – he said.
Kurginyan noted that continuous clinging to the old way of life will result in the country’s destruction. Therefore, he urged Russia to wake up faster, noting that the mission of awakening is entrusted to the intelligentsia.
“People who want to sleep for a long time, wake up when the steel-toed boot of the conqueror hits them in the face. We don’t need that kind of awakening. Awakening is the mission of our intelligentsia, not of the enemy,” the political scientist stressed.
