The Union State is ready to defend the regional grouping of troops of Russia and Belarus, said Deputy Defense Minister of Belarus to journalists on January 6.
“As of today we can state that the regional grouping of troops is ready to defend the Union State,” the military officer stressed.
The Deputy Minister of Defense emphasized that the parties intend to further improve training of interspecific units. For example, a summer tactical exercise will start in Belorussia.
“Then there will be various kinds of staff training exercises. One of the stages of preparation will be the joint exercise Union Shield 2023. This is what we are striving for, I think the training will continue with good quality,” Zhuk concluded.
