France will continue to provide military support to Ukraine in 2023, French Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu wrote on Twitter on December 28.
“We have studied the needs of the Ukrainian army to continue this support in 2023,” Lecornu wrote after a meeting with Ukrainian Defence Minister Aleksey Reznikov during his visit to Kiev. The French minister wrote that his visit to Kiev itself had already confirmed France’s military support to Ukraine.
Earlier, it was reported that Lecornu arrived in Kiev. This was his first visit since he took office.
Lecornu arrived in Kiev after an official visit to Warsaw. In Kiev, the French Defence Minister planned to hold talks with Reznikov, in particular, on the supply of French arms to Ukraine.
