Kurginyan: West will do nearly anything to save its hegemony

31.10.2022, Moscow.

The West is ready to do a lot in order to preserve its global hegemony, stated political scientist, philosopher, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in The Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on Russia 1 TV channel on October 27.

According to the political scientist, the current crisis in relations between Russia and the West cannot be solved by simple means like blocking pipelines.

Once there was an intense crisis in Transnistria, and Vice President Rutskoi said, ‘We’ll shut off the pipelines to them, and then everything will be fine’. I responded to this by saying that it’s not an ordinary easy to use faucet. It’s some people who want it to do this way, and others who want it to do that way. And who is stronger – that’s how the fate of the faucet will be determined, right? Maybe it will be opened and maybe it will be closed,” explained Sergey Kurginyan.

The expert pointed out that the fate of the world is determined in entirely different ways.

The fate of the world is determined by the struggle of forces and the level of irreconcilability of these forces, their interests, and all the rest determine the fate of the world, not that we want it to be good,” said the political analyst, recalling that the West is not ready to give up its hegemony under any circumstances, which means an uncompromising clash.

Commenting on the current confrontation between Russia and the collective West, including Ukraine as a battlefield, Kurginyan expressed doubt about the likelihood of a scenario in which “the hegemony of the West will be destroyed while preserving the West.

Would the West want to exist in the absence of its hegemony? And if it doesn’t want to exist that way, won’t it eliminate the existing world at all” – the political scientist wondered.

In his view, the world could come to a catastrophe and subsequent reassembly.

And wouldn’t everything that happens then be a post-catastrophic reassembly? After all, all humanity will not cease to exist at once, so after some extreme forms of the West’s unwillingness to give up its hegemony, there will be some reassembly, but this reassembly will occur on the ruins of what we call the human civilization,” assumed Sergey Kurginyan.

Pondering whether the West is ready to destroy human civilization in order to preserve its hegemony, the political scientist noted: “It seems to me that it is ready for many things in this sense“.
