Five people killed in a bus hit by Ukrainian armed units in Kherson

The Ukrainian armed units hit a bus with passengers in Kherson, the regional Ministry of Health wrote on its Telegram channel on October 7.

According to the Ministry of Health, a Ukrainian missile hit a civilian bus, killing five people, five people were wounded. They are in moderate condition.

“Today, October 7, 2022, at 7 a.m., Ukrainian nationalists struck a bus carrying civilians on the Daria Bridge with a rocket. The civilians were on their way to work. As a result of the attack, unfortunately, five people were killed and five were injured,” the ministry wrote.

According to the local authorities, the attack was aimed specifically at civilians: there was no military personnel nearby. The missile was reportedly fired from a HIMARS MLRS.

Earlier, the US announced that it had allocated 20 HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems to Ukraine, with another 12 units to be supplied by US allies.

It was reported that the US aid package agreed with Congress would not include the longest-range HIMARS ammunition, which was requested by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. The Pentagon said that the delivery includes medium-range missiles and long-range artillery systems.
