The Zaporohzhye region will declare its independence within its existing regional borders after the referendum, a member of the main council of the Zaporozhye region’s administration Vladimir Rogov said on September 20 on the air of Solovyov Live.
“Within the regional borders of Zaporozhye region,” Rogov said, answering a question about the territories of the region that will be declared independent as a result of the referendum. At the same time, he noted that only 73% of the Zaporozhye region has been liberated so far.
Rogov specified that the right-bank part of the regional center – Zaporozhye – is still under the control of the Kiev authorities.
Earlier, it was reported that according to the head of the regional administration Yevgeniy Balitsky, the referendum will be held on the entire territory of Zaporizhzhya region, which has been liberated from the Kiev regime. According to him, all polling stations are ready to receive citizens, he assured that they are fully protected in terms of the safety of voters.
